Why I think firing the Special Prosecuter would be a bad idea..

On my first thought, I decided that this was a rather straightforward idea: if you have nothing to fear why go through all the trouble to make yourself look guilty?

Anybody around at the time of Watergate, or who remembers what that was, will remember the night that President Richard Nixon fired a bunch of the Watergate prosecutors, and how that made him look even guiltier than that the missing 18 minutes in the White House Tapes, the ones where he recorded everything that was said in his office.  We don’t know, for sure, what was on those 18 minutes, and the White House said the erasure was an accident.  The problem with that came out when it was shown that for the secretary to have erased those tape she would have had to have been a contortionists who could hold that pose for the entire 18 minutes.  Not likely.

Maybe the overall problem was, as Nixon would say later, that he allowed an “atmosphere” into the White House that allowed his staff to believe he would support them, or maybe he was just a crook.

The upshot of all this was that taken together, the tapes, the missing part of the tape, the firing itself,  and the number of staff members who went to jail it was plain to the world that he just headed off the impeachment with his resignation.

There might have been nothing more to it than over-enthusiastic staff playing at being spies, or it could be that Nixon himself was behind it, we can but conjecture as the White House spent so much time stonewalling the whole thing.

My point is, even if there were no collusion with the Russians, President Trump seems to be working hard in an effort to make us think there is something to the idea.

So what if a number of his aids are under investigation or have pleaded guilty to charges, or even his threats to derail the entire investigation, right now you can’t say yes, or no, to the idea.

What I suggest is simple.  I would like President Trump to come out in supporting the overall search for the truth.  It might be hard to prove there was no collusion as it is often hard to prove something did not happen.

I can see where he might be concerned with the possibility of an impeachment proceeding taking place, as they do not use the same rules of law as found in a real court and an impeachment might just be politically motivated, in which case maybe he can get it done while the Republicans still hold Congress?  At least those who decide they want to go on record as supporting the Donald.

I am not sure if the double jeopardy applies to Congress, they might even try again, if a first attempt fails, after the mid-terms.

We might even be able to sneak a few people into the White House staff who have at least some idea what they are doing?

Thank,

That Joe Guy.

P.S.  In the interest of full disclosure I would like to state that in 2016 I voted for the Libertarian Candidate.

‘Pastafarian’ allowed to wear spaghetti strainer in driver’s license photo

The Registry of Motor Vehicles allowed a Massachusetts woman to wear a spaghetti strainer on her head in her driver’s license picture as an expression of her “Pastafarian” religion.

Normally I would think this woman was trying to keep space, versus illegal, aliens from being able to read her brainwaves.  When I saw that this was a religious issue I thought, and least she isn’t wearing one of those Islamic Bhurkas (?) that just show the eyes.

I would think that this qualifies as good news..  and so I applaud the news organization that simply reported this, and did not ridicule either her, or the Massachusetts DMV.    While there is always room to make fun of someone in a story such as this, it is nice to see that they can actually publish a story where they don’t feel like they have to make inane editorial remarks, and leave that kind of thing to bloggers, like me, who don’t have to possess any journalistic integrity.

While the woman in question said it was because of her Pastafarian religion I still wonder if, maybe, it wasn’t the space aliens who suggested it to her..  Maybe her thought waves were interfering with their navigational system.  You know, like when the airlines tell you that your cell phone could cause the place to crash, and then point out that you can use the on-board phone.   The one that probably connects you to the switchboard at CIA headquarters, where they  record everything you say.

I got this report, along with some other fun news, at WTSP.com.

Do we REALLY care what President Obama thinks?

My last post, several months ago, was on my alternate site myviewbyjoe.com.  For those of you who actually check here I offer my apologies, and this quick question..

During his time in the White House President Obama has made a  number of rash decisions, such as his comments on the incident with the Professor and the Cop where he pretty much accused the cop of being a racist, and has been indecisive, such trying to decide if he should support the Libyan  insurgents against  Gaddafi.

Sometime being indecisive is can be a good thing.  A good example of this was when the Obama Administration was trying to figure out how to punish the Syrian Government for the use of Chemical weapons…  by the time they, the Obama cronies, came to a decision it had already be found out that the chemicals, which Assad was supposed to have used, were really being used by the group we now know as ISIS, or ISIL.

Almost immediatly after the events in Furguson happend Obama’s fool in the Justice Department, before the investigations had gotten going, though not before Jackson and Sharpie had run their mouths, had said that the state’s attorney should prosecute the Cop to the fullest  extent of the law…

President Obama has shown a tendency to make rash and irresponible statements, and this is what brings me to his latest comments…  In a recent speech he made some interesting comments about violence carried out by the Christian religion in the name of God, such as pointing out the carnage carried out by several hundred years of crusades and inquisitions..  I can agree with those comments.  I just don’t know where he gets the idea that slavery and the Jim Crowe laws were done in the name of God..  I was born in 1955, about 6 years before Obama and maybe I listened to the wrong people but I don’t ever remember hearing how either of thise things was endoresed by God..  not by anyone.

I like to consider myself as being fair but I can’t for the life of me understand why, after all of his misstatements, people still listen to him.

If you still believe what he says, then you might want to think about the rumor that the Golden Gate Bridge is up for sale.

Just a Quick thought..

I was going through the various spam messages on ThatJoeGuy.com and found an interesting one.

It was a message from jolieheavener@gmail.com who wrote….

It’s the best time to make some plans for the future and it’s time to be happy.
I have read this post and if I could I desire to suggest you few interesting things or advice.
Perhaps you could write next articles referring to this article.

I wish to read more things about it!

I still have his comments listed as SPAM, and now wish to put it in the frame of a SCAM..

The URL that came with this comment goes back to  http://free-wifihack.com/.  Going to the URL I found this statement…

Unlock any available wireless network

We offer you the software able to unlock any wifi network encrypted through WPA/WPA2/WEP key. Without exaggeration, it is the greatest wifi hacker available.

It is interesting to note that at the according to whois.com the sight is either registered, or is located, in Panama.

The software is advertised as being FREE and able to HACK the encryption protocols of WiFi networks.  This sent up the first RED FLAG for me…  This is pretty much the same as if I sent out an offer to give free lock picks that would allow you to get into anyones home, or office, for free…  Either of this events would be illegal, and they seem to be advocating just that..

The next RED FLAG that I found was that they had a number of different ICONs on the page that implied the software was virus free, and they used to logos of a number of antivirus companies to imply that this software had been vetted by them..  It was just a picture and none of them took me to the indicated websites.

Net there are the seeming endorsements, none of which go anywhere.  This is a sure indication that they are fake, and just copy and past ICONS.

 .

If any of this had been true they would have had links behind them that would take you to the site where they could be verified but, they don’t.
One of the customer statements said  Tested it myself and am more than pleased. And it all goes free. Sounds too good to be true, yet it is so.”   Yes, it is too good to be true..
Anybody using this software would be breaking laws in almost any jurisdiction I can think of…  if it did indeed work as stated..  My best guess would be that the minute anyone installed this software : their computer would itself be compromised..
So, the chance of this being a generous offer made by a company in Panama are pretty much NIL.
I am sure anyone who is able to find my blog, out of all the millions of blogs, is smart enough to not fall for this scam.  I just wanted to make sure.
Thanks,
That Joe Guy.

Florida Teacher Says No to Bible During ‘Free Reading’ Time

Florida Teacher Says No to Bible During ‘Free Reading’ Time.

While I am not a great exponent of Religions in the Schools, look at the trouble they have with just figuring out how to teach MATH and then tell me what they would do to the Bible, but if the school policy is that the students have a period of FREE reading they they should be able to read what interest them..  such as the Bible..

To allow a teacher to say that you can not read this material in my class, assuming she is not talking about pornographic material, is a step toward censorship…

What if the teacher were a Conservative who said the student could not read liberal newspapers or magazines in his/her class?  It would result in a media outcry from the liberals, and would be on their front pages.

Maybe she just doesn’t want her students to read the morality lessons often given in the Bible…?

Thanks,

That Joe Guy.
