The government of the United States, for one thing.. I am not just complaining about President Obama troop of misfits. No, some of these items happened, or started, back in the Clinton and Bush regime, so no it is not just Obama..
The failure of our Government to keep up with the companies they are to regulate resulted in BP accidents in both the Gulf of Mexico, Deep horizon, and Alaska, Prudhoe Bay pipe rupture in 2006(?).
There were Ponzi schemes that they had no idea were going on, even though at least one of them, Bernie Madoff had been reported several times over a number of years.. At his sentencing Bernie supposedly made this statement “I was astonished. They never even looked at my stock records. If investigators had checked with The Depository Trust Company, a central securities depository, it would’ve been easy for them to see. If you’re looking at a Ponzi scheme, it’s the first thing you do.” There were reports, which the SEC ignored. The SEC’s Inspector General’s office would later report that since 1992 there had been 6, yes SIX BOTCHED INVESTIGATIONS.
VP Biden, and John Kerry, will tell you that the southern border is secure, but recently it was reported that a hole in the steel portion of the fence, large enough to drive a truck through, was found in the Texas area.. Could someone send them a dictionary with the word SECURE underlined?
I am not even going to go on about the last Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, who is probably not qualified to be a real secretary.. she was just stupid beyond words.
It does not matter if they are Democrat or Republican, we expect them to either know what they are doing, or find someone who does and listen to them.. So far we seem to get very few of either…
ABC, NBC, and even the Huffington Post, have reported, along with a video, that President Clinton told an audience, just hours before 911 that he could have killed Bin Laden in 1998 but didn’t.
He spared 300 people in Kandahar Afghanistan, you will remember the name of the city from the new reports of U.S. Solider getting killed there. Having been there because we invaded the place after, drum roll please, Bin Laden used it to carry out the planning and execution of the 911 attack which killed 3000 people in New York City…
Also, you should watch the movie “Blackhawk Down” where the helicopter crew, sent by then President Clinton, was dragged through the streets because Slick Willie refused to send the proper support for their mission to kill a Somali warlord.
Past Secretary of State Hilary Clinton told the world, when she ran for President, that she learned Foreign Affairs from her husband Bil Clinton… KInd of like her saying she should get a degree because her husband flunked out of that school. Remember this the next tome she runs for President.
The incompetence is not limited to the Executive branch.. At 9:30 am today I got a call from 305-389-7839 that offered me a free cruise.. Not only am I on both the State and Federal “Do Not Call” list but it was a robo call on my cell phone number.. All NO NOs..
Is the law effective? I don’t really know.. Then again I might have gotten many more of them..
We don’t need politicians telling us we need more regulation, or that regulation hampers business. What we need is a government that enforces the laws presently on the books, and no just the ones they like.
In recent years we have seen the Internal Revenue Service not only conducted purely political investigations of charities, but the official responsible, one Lois Lerner, refused to testify about her misconduct.. One of the interesting things that has been reported is that Ms. Lerner is one of six people who’s emails were unavailable to Congressional committees due to being on hard drives that failed, thereby wiping out said emails.. This woman makes you wonder what her deal is.. While she was going after groups with “tea-party”, or “Patriot” in their names it has been reported that she signed off on a tax exempt status of one Malik Obama, reported to be a jihadist, and even went so far as to back date the approval some 38 months… So she tries to prosecute “Patriots” while she gives terrorist tax exempt status..
The United States Attorney General, one Eric Holder, seems to pick and chose the law he likes.. Remember Fast and Furious? The plan where the Department of Justice put pressure on the ATF&E to allow the illegal sale of firearms so that not only could they arm drug dealers but Mr. Holder suggested that this might be a reason for more “gun control”.
Not to mention the fact that Mr. Holder’s Department of Justice appears to have a “catch and release” program for illegal immigrants who were criminals in their own countries.
Around one year ago I wrote about a Deputy U.S. Marshal, Matt Wiggens, who acted more like an uncouth thug than a law enforcement officer.. I won’t go into the whole thing, I had written about it at least once, maybe twice. The thing is that one year later, in order to find out the result of the Department of Justice investigation into his misconduct the lady he treated so poorly has to file a lawsuit to find out what happened.. Why? Because the Department of Justice, one year later, will not disclose their findings..
So, my question is : if the government does not do it’s job and does not answer to us, the people who pay their salaries, then who do they answer to?
If the Republicans, or the Democrats, can’t, or won’t, do their jobs then maybe we should start voting for the Libertarians… or some other third party ticket.
