As I sit here, in front of my computer, it is Saturday afternoon, it seems as if every moron with a robo-dialer is calling to spew more lies about the other parties candidates in an effort to see, I guess, just how pissed off they can make us in the last couple of days before the elections.
I have an 82 year old mother who sleeps a lot. This is no because she is lazy but, she is too sick to do much more than sleep. I understand, and agree, that the people we will put into office are important but, I would like that 82 year old lady to be able to get some sleep with out the phone ringing every few minutes, then again I would like to think we would have a shot a getting an honest politician in office and we, you and I, know that ain’t going to happen.
For about two years now we have be subjected to the Presidential Race with each side telling its fairy tales about the other, or what they are going to do. Now we are coming to the big finale and the push to get our vote is on.
Maybe I could count up the annoyances, keep a list of which party they are, and then vote for the least annoying group.
My other suggestion is this… We put our phone numbers on both the State and Federal “Do Not Call” list, while I understand that the people who pass this law left a number of loopholes, say truck sized, I would think that people would understand calling people on the list is like knocking on their door after stepping around the “No Trespass” sign.
I for one am getting tired of hearing from the Republican Party of Florida, the Republican National Clowns, or the Democratic anything. Maybe they should leave us their phone number so we can call them ad nauseum with our robo-dial machine to let them know we are tired of hearing their lies, or just their voice. It was bad enough with the mailers. They are to hard to be useful as toilet paper, they are written on both sides so you can use them for IMPORTANT things like the grocery list, and I am not really sure about how to dispose of them because, just looking at whats on them, I am sure they must belong in the biohazard, or toxic waste, can.
So.. they should either let us fire back, or put some teeth into the Do Not Call list.
